Big Brothers, Big Sisters of St.Albert

Big Brothers Big Sisters of St. Albert is committed to the healthy development of all children.

We provide an array of mentoring programs to meet the needs of our community’s young people so they have the tools and supports they need to be successful in school and in life.

Big Brothers Big Sisters of St. Albert is a community-supported organization committed to the healthy development of children, youth, and their families by providing safe spaces, positive relationships, services, and opportunities to develop personal strengths and interpersonal skills that enhance their long-term success in life.

Our mentoring programs seek to support vulnerable children and youth challenged by the impacts of poverty. Our organization also works in partnership with other community organizations to develop and deliver programs geared to specific populations, such as the immigrant and refugee community, the Indigenous community, and other vulnerable groups (e.g. 2SLGBTQ+ youth).

Begin Within Psychology

Hi, I'm Sherri. I love to work with adults and teens with a special emphasis in working with women. "I just want to feel a sense of peace again. I haven't felt joy in too long. I don't know why I feel angry all the time." These are some of the statements my clients often say to me when I am learning about them.

If you are suffering more than you think you have to, let's spend some time together. I will invite you into an intimate process of learning more about yourself, so you can learn the tools to begin to heal within. I will invite you to take action to discover how to rediscover joy, connection, and inner warmth.

In womanhood, there are complex reasons why women struggle. I look at areas like work, intimate partnership/s, friendships, early childhood experiences, female biology, the relationship with the self, and the relationship with spirituality (how to make life meaningful) to help untangle the emotional web that women feel stuck in. I gently teach women how to begin the process of healing by looking within.
